A Trick with Codex

Now I’m old school and I am running a local development setup… like I have for the past 20 years…

But the joys of AI have awoken a new burst of Coding excitement BUT I still have to keep my wits about me. It’s not all Magic.

My New Work Flow is:

  1. Create the Project Folder and Design Document,
  2. Use ChatGTP to come up with the main framework based on my requirements (you have to have those)
  3. Perform the “Testing/Tuning” Phase
  4. Keep a running list of changes or enhancements in a document along with Screen Shots
(Using KSnip – My New favourite Screen Capture Tool)

The Discovery

So I have at least two projects running and one is near completion and has all the nice “Bits” I wanted…

So now I am working on the next one, that I had started previously, and I had discovered I could create a lovely Custom “Warning Popup” Like this…

So what to do? Well I thought…”Let’s see if we can get Codex to go and find it from the other site (script) on my server.”

And so I did… I asked:
“Can we get the same Warning Popup for say the Reset Stats as used in /home/www/timbrownlaw/public_html/training”
And… It did 🙂

So the moral of this story.

Don’t put the blinkers on and explore the possibilities… and in this case, It was a major Win and it also means I can develop the style I want for a “Component” and just ask… “Hey let’s use the one we did in X”.

Well I am pretty impressed… So onwards we go.

If I come up with any other little gems, I’ll let you know.

Until then, Take Care, Get Lots done and have a grand day.
Cheers… Tim
