Marketing Strategies

This is a BIG Topic… So let’s just get rolling and tidy things up afterwards.

The one place people seem to gravitate to when they are starting out ( as I did ) are Website Traffic Exchanges And Safelists… So let’s start there.

Website Traffic Exchanges.

So what are they? That’s a really good question which deserves a really good anwser.. but instead I’ll say, These are “Systems” that someone joins with the sole intention of promoting their offer(s) to others who are sitting at their PC, SURFING to Earn Clicks (or credits) so more people will view their websites… and hopefully.. Fingers Crossed…Someone will join their offer!

It’s a bit of a “Hey look at mine and I’ll look at yours” kind of deal. And it does WORK if you have the “Right things” to promote…

The types of users.

Well from what I have seen of late, it’s quite diverse… but at the end of the day they are either Affiliate Marketers or MLM Networkers. Ranging from How to Make Money, to Health Products and the big one is anything that promises to give you More Traffic… Because no matter what you are promoting, you need to get eyeballs on pages…

The Big things seems to be its full of folks wanting to do things for Free… It’s like dangling candy to a baby. The downside of this is that it’s a hard road to get them out of that mindset… Mainly because they are not making any money or enough to fund anything else… or just because they are “Stuck” there.

Is it effective?

Yes and no. I’ve run a few things over the years on these and recently started up a website – The Affiliate Dream – and promoted it with a Free Report I wrote. Like with anything, the aim is to get people onto a mailing list.
The neat thing is I’ve set it all of that up (except for the website) on LeadsLeap which you can use for Free. So that gives me the whole kaboodle, like the Autoresponder (for list building) , Landing Pages which you can simply create the thankyou – download page, places to save the PDF do they can download it. Plus you get Tracking Links, Rotators for monitoring your traffic… Which makes it a great little system.

So I’ve built a small list… and while I dont have a great open rate… which is mainly my own fault… it does work.

AND you will help someone escape, after a while and take them on a more prosperous journey 🙂

So the trick is to Have a Free Offer / Or Free Joinup if its a membership site… Then you can start making offers of upgrades etc after you’ve given them good reason to… It’s not magic…

As Such it’s a good.. I won’t say simple because there are some “tricks and traps” as with anything… That might make a good Ebook / Guide 🙂
