Changing My Facebook Profile.

For Many Many Years, I’ve just been using my facebook profile for keeping up and staying touch with Family and Friends… You know, the stuff Facebook is good for… And I’ve not been a big user of it but I have a few other contacts in the Affiliate Marketing Arena, I’ve met over the years and stay in touch with.

Without a doubt platforms like Facebook are great for getting your Business / Opportunity in front of “Squlllions” of tired, weary eye balls.. Whoops, I mean interested, interactive folks….

And for ever how long, if you join any Affiliate Marketing Course / Program / Mentorship they all insist on using it… So on my previous outing, it was suggested that using a PAGE was the way to go and Leave your Personal Profile for.. well… Personal Stuff!

And so I did and created TimBrownlawOnline Facebook page. And at the time, badly followed the advice I was being given…

The thing with Business Pages is they are mainly geared towards you “Paying” for advertising to help Build your Followers and get eyeballs on your page BUT these are not targeted folks and its a bit hit and miss… I know, cause I dabbled in a few paid ads… I got some results, but nothing to write about.. so moving along… ( It’s important to mention that this is not to say this doesn’t work, especially when you are NOT Dabbling and know what you are doing).

The Big Reveal

Then along came a spider… Ok so really what happened is I “Stumbled” across some folks and got chatting to them, as I do… and to be honest I cannot really remember how this all started, but I had joined this one program when I was in my “Search Seek Destroy Employ) Phase.
It was Free to Join, and it looked interesting… But I was still in another program… so one at a time… is the golden rule.

Then, sometime later I stumbled back across my good friend Lynne from the UK and took another look it and ended up joining… So Long Story Short… After taking a proper look at it.. It checked alot of my “boxes”. Basically I have a real issue in promoting anything where have the slightest inkling that anyone I refer in is going to struggle and get nowhere… And the reason why my friends are wondering why I’m not dirty filthy rich yet 🙂 That’s the main reason… This felt a little more “Real”…

You SHOULD use your Own Facebook Profile.

So there I am, reading, watching Videos and chatting directly with my Mentor(s) and they are all saying to use your Own Facebook Profile… Which as before, resulted in a big Cringe and internal shouts of “Noooo”!

Watching what others were doing.

Which is always a good thing… but it’s always preferable to watch those doing the things you want to be doing… Hmmmm. anyway… I was seeing a few individuals coming from nowhere, and I think the correct term is “Killing It”… That’s got to tell you something… Although The trick is to actually listen… (which is the part where my dad would say..”WHAT!! But keep in mind, these days, he’s 93 and going, or gone, deaf, so he wouldn’t have been participating in that little joke).

Time to Make A Decision

So a few things have happened… I know what has to be done… I know if I’m going to do this, I have to go all in or go home… But the main thing is this is something I’m happy to put my name too and that is the important thing…

So Why OLSP?

I’m very well aware of the mode of operation of programs/courses like these… And to be very clear, that’s what was wrong with some of the previous encounters and that is… The way People make money with these systems is to promote the system itself… Which may read badly… But there is a bright side to this one… People are looking for systems like this… They Do teach you valuable lessons and strategies… Like, “get off your arse and use your Facebook Profile” … plus a whole lot of other things… And if you know me, you know I’m a helpful kind of guy who has spent years on here reaching out to folks with site/programming issues.

So for me, this is something that sits well with me and will get folks started… I’m not going to say this is the Be All and End All… as I’ve got other avenues to explore, but I have decided that for the time being, this will be my main focus… so I can achieve what I have set out to do…

So at the time of writing this, I have 5 members in and they are going ballistic… as in “making commissions” of their own, kind of way… And that sits well with me…

Anyway, my Todo List aint going to get ToDone at this rate (but I can tick this one off). So we shall see.

And just one little Trick I discovered when posting…

So before I posted this, I’d written a little snippet which turned into an email, which turned into my first Facebook Post on my New Modified Facebook Profile Page… (Try saying that while eating a piece of toast)

So to explain… Facebook poo poo’s the dropping of links in posts… I think you can use them inside the comments… but they tend to not like you “leaving” facebook… Anyway… the first draft had the link in it… and Facebook ran off to load the website… and came back with…

Well, I’ve also discovered that the image in that post is clickable… so not sure how that flies with the Facebook God’s, so we shall See… Maybe I can just remove the link…
